Wordshed Productions is a graduate student production company based in the Department of Communication Studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Wordshed was founded for the purpose of researching, developing, and presenting live performance events.
Wordshed believes that the intimacy and immediacy of performance offers an ideal medium (for both audiences and creators) for the artistic study and critical exploration of literature, personal narrative, and other cultural practices through narrative adaptation, integrated live and recorded performance, immersive theatrical installations, and other cultural and critical performative practices.
