Asma Abbas, PhD., is the Assistant Professor of Politics and Philosophy.
Credentials and History Asma has her B.A. and M.A. in Business Administration in Development Economics, Strategic Policy, Communications, and the Non-Governmental Sector from the Institute of Business Administration in Karachi, Pakistan, an M.A. in Social & Political Theory, History, Political Economy, and Social & Literary Movements from the New School for Social Research, and a PhD. in Political Science from Pennsylvania State University.
Teaching Asma has been described as being from the "New really hot brilliant Pakistani School" of social and political theory. As she is relatively new, really hot, brilliant, and Pakistani, this is more-or-less accurate. She is lenient about knitting and laptops, actively encourages eating, and likes to make a round-table discussion out of everything.
